Information Request
Because of the flow of new information relating to this project that is being brought to our attention on a weekly basis we continue to regard our website as “work in progress”.
We are particularly keen to hear from any members of the Lane families who had connections with any of the big houses referred to in our website. We would be delighted to hear about any photographs, letters, memories etc. that would help throw additional light on the owners and occupiers of these houses, and thereby so to speak, allow these houses to tell their own stories.
In the case of Vernon Mount House we would like to get some more information relating to:
- Mr Charles F. Murphy and Mr Tuttle both of whom were occupiers of Vernon Mount at different times during the period c1920 – c1940
- Mr & Mrs Coaste and a Major Kells, at different times c1950 – c1959
